Meeting ROCK Studios in Plymouth

A few months before I graduated, I met David Kirkpatrick, CEO of ROCK Studios, through a contact I met at APU. Over lunch, he shared with me his vision to build a leading movie studio in Plymouth, MA. Upon hearing of his dream, I immediately knew this was a project I wanted to align myself both professionally and spiritually. Yesterday I got my first taste of the studio!


This is Steve, Director of Guest Relations. He picked me up in the new Hybrid Tahoe and drove me to my hotel and then to the offices of ROCK Studios.

I took a tour of the future lot of ROCK Studios. It is currently being used as a golf course (+260 acres).

I concluded the evening by attending a town hearing about the studio taking over Waverly Oaks Golf Course at the local high school. It was interesting listening to the community's concerns about traffic, noise, and jobs with the new studio coming into town.

Overall, it was an awesome experience. I enjoyed meeting the team and I can't wait to see what is in store in these coming months. I am so fortunate to be in the position that I am. Thom, a co-worker, called my opportunity with the studio a date with destiny.
